Birthday Boy!

My baby is 3!  I can't believe it.  We are having a bigger party for him when all his grandparents are here, but we still had to do some celebrating around his birthday.  His Aunt Laura came the Friday before his birthday and made a cake with him.  Then we had a movie night and watched Bambi, which the adults realized is a very depressing movie.  Nate had a blast playing with Laura and Mitch, and keeps picking flowers for Laura and asking where Mitch is.

Then on Monday, on Nate's actual third birthday, we took the boys to the McDonald's in Columbus to eat and play on the playground.  Nate had a blast!

Springtime Fun

The weather around here lately has been decidedly springlike.  The boys and I have been spending a lot of time outside working on our front flower beds and starting a vegetable garden.  We've been having a great time, Nate especially.

T.J. found a baby rabbit when he was mowing and caught it to show Nate.  He had a good time petting it, then the boys let it go.

Hudson has really been practicing moving around.

On the Move!

Hudson is moving around a lot more in the last month.  He can pull himself up on furniture, army crawls around the living room, and can 'walk' along the walls and furniture.  Of course his attempts at movement are often hindered by his brother.

Hudson started in front of the stove and got held up at the corner, he couldn't figure out where to go from there.

Birthday Girl

Monday I turned 32.  Other than a ton of gray hairs (thanks for the genes Mom!) life at 32 is good for me. I spent the weekend before my birthday visiting my sister in San Antonio WITHOUT ANY KIDS!  It was fantastic.  I got to sleep uninterrupted (except for Laura's cats) and was able to do things I hadn't in a long time.  For example: I got to shower without any kids and take all the time I wanted, we went to a movie, and out to eat.  All things that don't happen much in my life.  All in all it was a fabulous birthday.

Brothers

In an effort to get some pictures of the boys together we got some gems.  I'm not sure Hudson enjoyed the process too much, but Nate seemed to have fun.

Muddy Mud

Yesterday we got a good rain in the morning.  We needed it and Nate enjoyed playing in the muddy mud (Hudson enjoyed watching him).

Visitors

  This past weekend one of T.J.'s best friends and his family came to visit.  Nate had a blast playing with the two girls (they are 7 and 10).  T.J. asked the youngest girl if Nate was annoying her and she said "A little bit."  Hudson also had fun with their youngest who is three months old.  They didn't play much, but had fun looking at each other.

They are five months apart and the same size!

  Hudson just turned 8 months old and is growing like a weed.  He eats constantly, but doesn't like apples or any green vegetables.  He can move himself around the room by rolling and dragging.  He loves his older brother and is constantly smiling and giggling at him.  His favorite person in the world is his Mama, to T.J.'s dismay, and he's starting to sleep better.
